The prize “"for their tireless and determined commitment to making waters safe and clear of unexploded ordnance in areas that were once conflict zones, as well as for their ability to develop a Training Center that brings together passionate divers united by a common will to protect people and nature, even when they risk their lives"  presented by Academy President Sebastiano Tusa and Vice President Pippo Capelano.

This award was established in 1960 and has been received by 190 individuals and organizations to date, including: - Jacques Cousteau, Walt Disney, Jacques Picard, Enzo Mallorca, National Geographic, the Japanese company Nikon, the Rolex company, the Agnelli Family Foundation, French national television, CMAS, and others.
